Getting ready to welcome you at our Maritime Heritage Centre from April 9 and aboard Lucy Lavers from April 4th

We are getting ready to welcome you to our Maritime Heritage Centre in Stiffkey at Easter (open Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays until the end of October)

We are also starting to plan our Maritime Heritage Festival weekend and heritage wooden fishing boat flotilla in Wells linked with Wells Carnival. Date for your diary! July 29 & 30.  We are hoping to repeat last year’s spectacle and entertainment with as many or more spectators.

Lucy Lavers our restored, locally serving lifeboat and Dunkirk Little Ship, will be starting trips again from Wells-next-the-Sea before too long.  Liam Pink the skipper of Curlew Coastal Charters who run Lucy Lavers will be hauling her out for a spring clean and paint before then. Our former Wells whelker Harvester will also be back afloat soon.
If you are interested at all in local heritage or wooden boats and would like to get involved - a few hours from time to time as suits you – at the Maritime Heritage Centre, helping with events and more, and/or helping paint the boats you would be very welcome indeed!
