Lucy Lavers leaves Ramsgate on the way home - next stop Harwich

On today's long leg from Ramsgate to Harwich, Lucy Lavers is skippered by Jon Butler, with crew members Henry Faire, Edward Perrott, Richard Linsell, Ed Napolitano and Dave Peppercorn.

Here they are leaving North Foreland and heading for Kentisbury Knock.

Hunstanston lifeboat crew members Ed Napolitano and Dave Peppercorn take in the view from the stern. 

 

At around 10.30am Lucy Lavers was approaching Sunk Inner Lightship.

  

By 1.30pm she was passing the Medusa buoy, off Walton-on-the-Naze in the Thames Estuary.

Lucy Lavers arrives at Harwich by 16:00pm, after an 8 hour journey in good weather.
