How can you become involved with Rescue Wooden Boats?       

• Become a Friend and support our work through donations - you will be kept up to date through our newsletter and invited to events.
• Sponsor us from your business or organisation - contact us to discuss this.

• Join the Maritime Heritage Centre Team to welcome and guide visitors round the museum and the boatyard - no experience needed, training is given.   
  • We are open from Easter Sunday until the end of October on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 11am - 4pm.
  • If we have more volunteers we can open on Saturdays too. Do join the team and bring your friends.
• Join the Event Team to welcome and host events for groups
  
  • We have a well-equipped Event Room in the Maritime Heritage Centre.
• Helping with our Boats
  • There are occasional working parties on the boats, scraping, sanding, varnishing and painting.  Contact us if you would like to join the team.

• Help with our annual Maritime Heritage Festival and Flotilla in Wells and other Special Events 

  • publicity; fundraising; stewarding display stands and merchandise stall, and guiding visitors as part of the event team on the day. Rotas to sign are posted under volunteer sign in.
