Event Room

Event Room at our Maritime Heritage Centre in Stiffkey

This multipurpose room can also be used for out-of-school learning for children. With space for 30 children, this fully equipped classroom, with SMART board and internet access, is an ideal place for out-of-school learning. 

We also have professionally prepared cross-curricular resource packs for teachers, for Key Stages 1-4, based on our restored Dunkirk Little Ship, Lucy Lavers.  These can be used as stand-alone resources in the classroom, or in conjunction with a visit to our Event Room and our Maritime Heritage Centre, and even a trip afloat in Lucy Lavers from Wells.

The event room, made available to us by our landlord Mark Harrison, has been equipped with the help of a grant from FLAG (Fisheries Local Action Group)

In addition to encouraging school visits, we very much welcome enquiries from all groups wishing to use this room for broader educational purposes.  Room hire can be associated with a visit to Rescue Wooden Boats, or for a stand-alone event.  Please contact us for further details and booking rates: info@rescuewoodenboats.com
